Home charging specialists

Car Charge Go was founded with a single purpose. We aim to make life easier for anybody looking to purchase home car charging solutions. Whether you have made the transition to electronic driving for environmental or financial reasons, we're keen to play our part in the evolution of this ever-growing market.

Based in Plymouth but offering our services throughout the UK, Car Charge Go provides EV chargers direct to drivers of e-vehicles. No confusing terminology, no blinding with science and no upselling – we just provide what you need to get, and stay, on the road. We also offer detailed aftersales service to car dealerships that have recently purchased their first electric or hybrid car and remain unfamiliar with the nuances of these vehicles.

Above all, we're here to help you select the right products for your vehicle. Everybody affiliated with Car Charge Go is an early adopter of electric motoring, just like you. As a result, we experienced all the complexities of this ever-evolving market first-hand. We remain dedicated to making a difference to the environment and reducing CO2 emissions, though, so we're delighted to assist anybody with the same ambition.

On the other hand, making the change to an electric or hybrid car requires some thought. We appreciate that learning what chargers are ideal for your vehicle – in terms of compatibility, grant schemes and installations costs – can quickly become overwhelming. You have enough to think about. Let Car Charge Go advise you on the next steps, so you can concentrate on enjoying your new vehicle.

GOVERNMENT

The Government has officially confirmed that the ban on sales of new petrol and diesel cars has been moved forward to 2030.

By 2030, the UK Government's ambition is for a minimum of 50% (ideally as many as 70%) of new car sales – and up to 40% of new van sales – to release ultra-low emissions.

ENVIRONMENT

The primary benefit of electric cars is their contribution to improving air quality. Pure electric vehicles produce zero carbon dioxide emissions when driving due to an absence of a tailpipe. This considerably reduces air pollution, leading to cleaner streets that make towns and cities a better place to be for pedestrians and cyclists. Over a year, just one electric car on the roads saves an average 1.5 million grams of CO2. That is the equivalent of four return flights from London to Barcelona.

FUEL COSTS

As EVs become more mainstream, costs are rapidly dropping. A wide variety of benefits are available to drivers making the switch. Electric vehicles could spare you significant money on payments made towards fuel, tax, and maintenance costs. On a cost per mile basis alone, a fully electric car costs up to 25% less than traditional petrol or diesel cars.

TAX BENEFITS

As discussed, the UK government is attempting to encourage the transition to electric motoring. As a result, domestic electric vehicle drivers pay a motor tax of just 5%.
